Course description

(3 Credit Hours) Introduction to computer vision methods commonly used in contemporary smart manufacturing and industrial environments. Key imaging modalities, representations (spatial and frequency), and processing techniques in smart manufacturing. Convolutional neural networks and Transformers with their variants for prediction, object detection, and inspection. Generative AI models such as VAE and GAN. Geometric methods for pose estimation, augmented reality, etc. A glimpse into advanced topics such as interpretability and explainability of computer vision models.
